BA travellers will access the sun this season

British Airways are launching a series of flights routes from London City Airport to popular European destinations, so travellers can access plenty of summer sunshine this season.

With the new flight routes included, British Airways will be operating 36 flights a week from London City Aiport to top sun destinations at the height of summer, proving that we Brits really can't get enough of that summer sunshine when we're on holiday!

Services will include summer flights to Palma and Ibiza on new Embraer 170 and 190 aircraft. The Ibiza service has already increased to five flights a week until September, and frequency to Palma and Nice will increase from July to September.

There will also be year-round flights to Faro, Portugal and Malaga, Spain - proving that there's more to enjoy in the popular European cities than just summer sun! Flight will be avaiable, all inclusive, from £75 on BA's website.

Luke Hayhoe, BA CityFlyer general manager commercial said: “There has been a huge demand for sun routes from London City Airport which led us to increase the number of summer only leisure destinations we fly to.

“However, there is also demand for year-round holiday destinations and we chose Malaga and Faro because of their temperate climate and leisure activities on offer.”
