Blackpool air show attracts 60,000
About 60,000 people were expected for the annual Blackpool Air Show, organisers have said.
Spectators will line the resort's famous promenade for the free event between the Central and South piers.
The show will feature fly-pasts from World War II planes including the Spitfire and Dakota.
The Breitling Wing Walkers, who perform acrobatics while strapped to the wings of bi-planes, will also take part.
The Aerostars aerobatic display team were due to close the show at about 17:00 BST.
Blackpool hosted its first air show in 1909, the same year Frenchman Louis Bleriot became the first person to fly across the English Channel.
