Tickets for these flights are available from today. Hannover will be the sixth German destination operated by LOT.

LOT decided to extend its offer and start yet another connection to Germany, which is one of the most important and strategic markets of the Polish airlines. Today, the Polish carrier makes tickets to Hanover available in the system. The first flight to the capital of Lower Saxony has been planned for October 1. The new connection will allow passengers to travel directly from Warsaw to Hannover and transit passengers will be able to change planes conveniently to travel to Beijing and numerous European cities, including Budapest and Prague.

Hannover and its surrounding areas are a well-developed economic, service and commercial centre situated at the crossroads of the main European traffic routes going from the East to the West and from the North to the South.

Head offices of the following companies are situated here: Volkswagen, Continental, Varta, WABCO, TUI, Bahlsen and Rossmann. Hannover has the largest exhibition space in the world at the Hannover Messe, where the CeBIT communication, information and telecommunications fair is held. In 2013, Poland will be a partner country during the CeBIT and BITKOM fair events. Every year, the city also hosts numerous European cultural events, including Octoberfest, which is the second largest in the world.

Hannover is another destination on the European map which will soon be reached by LOT planes. At the same, this is the sixth city in Germany served by the Polish carrier ñ said Marcin PirÛg, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines. Germany is the key European market for us, from which we carry both direct traffic to Poland and transit traffic to the Eastern Europe, and recently also to Asia ñ added Marcin PirÛg.
