New CCO for Turkish Technic

Altan Büyükyılmaz has been assigned as the new Executive Vice President (Commercial Affairs) to Turkish Technic, the MRO subsidiary of Turkish Airlines.

This position was previously held by Dr. Fuat Oktay, who is now a member of Turkish Technic’s Board of Directors. Altan Büyükyılmaz studied Electronics and Communication Engineering and has been active in technology and services marketing
in the past 28 years. Prior to his new position, he was with Turkish Airlines as VP of Sales and Marketing and then as the CEO of BH Airlines.

As one of the major players in MRO business, Turkish Technic will be completing the first phase of its new MRO complex project before the end of this year. This investment will enable to increase its capability and capacity more than twice. In addition to
having its ambitious growth plans in the region, Turkish Technic is continuing its investments on new venture projects. As of today, Turkish Technic has 5 different affiliates specializing in different areas from engine maintenance to seat and galley productions. They already secured joint ventures with well-known OEM partners such as Pratt&Whitney and Goodrich.

Turkish Technic, an association of Turkish Airlines group companies, provides MRO services for Airbus and Boeing airframes, engines, auxiliary power units, landing gear and components. The company serves more than 100 airlines in Turkey, Europe, the
Middle East, Northern Africa, CIS countries with its maintenance centers in Istanbul & Ankara and highly qualified workforce of more than 3,000 personnel.
