To use of Combat aircrafts as launch platforms, trying to keep up with technology brought the necessity of using Air Forces. Turkish Air Force has revealed its “Vision 2030”. Turkish Air Force is making a big investment to personnel training that is the most important weapon to maintain the strength. In addition Turkish Air Force has been providing the most modern weapons systems to protect itself.

                            

"Barış Kartalı " Early Warning and Control Aircraft


In Boeing Institute,
Turkish Air Force has completed Boeing 737-700  Baris Kartali Early Warning and Control Aircraft Project, with the contributions of  Turkish Aerospace Industries personnel. Baris Kartali Project launched at 2003. This project includes 4 B737HIK aircraft, crew training and also the provision of Ground Support System.


Turkish Air Force will be able to detect and destroy threat systems to contribute to national and international peace.

 

Airbus A-400M Transport Aircraft Project


Turkish Air Force will remain out of use C-160 aircrafts. Turkish Air Force will receive 10 Airbus A-400M Transport Aircraft in order to meet the needs of Tactical and Strategic Transport Aircraft. Turkish Air Force with high load capacity and long-range aircrafts will reach Turkish Armed Forces for Strategic and Operative ability to attain superior air transport and shipping.  C-130 B/E aircrafts has been modernized to increase flight safety and operational capabilities of the aircraft since 1968.

 

5th Generation of F-35 Lightning II Project


5th Generation of F-35 Lightning II Project is the biggest project of
Turkish Air Force.  F-35 Lightning is an attack aircraft. It has been planned to produce between 100-116 F-35 Lightning.  F-35 cannot be seen easily by radar and with special sensor integration it’s the 5th generation fighter.  Combat aircraft the most comprehensive project of Turkish Air Force with electro-optical targeting, radar, electronic warfare and display systems.


 

Peace Onyx lV Project

 

Turkish Air Force is planning to buy total 30 F-16 Blok50+ aircraft, 16 F-16/D aircraft and 14 F-16/C aircraft, to increase its capacity till 2020. Aircrafts will be produced by Lockheed Martin Company.   F-16 aircrafts have Cross Fire Tank (CFT) and F-16/D aircrafts have Cross Electronic Equipment Placement.  F110-GE-129B engines will be used to build for these aircrafts.

 

Basic Trainer Aircraft KT-1T (TEU) Project


Basic Trainer Aircraft
KT-1T made by Korea Aerospace and Aircraft Industry (KAI), has been chosen for this project. Total 5 of 40 aircrafts is going to built in Korea Aerospace and Aircraft Industry and remain 35 aircrafts is going to built in Turkish Aviation Industry.


KT-1T  project includes Integrated Logistics Support materials, pilots and personnel training, spare parts of aircrafts and equipment in place.

KT-1T TEU has the feature of cabin pressurization and cabin heating / cooling systems .
